Hi: A couple of weeks ago I posted a question about the Export Events mod that I installed, but isn't working -- it creates an empty file.I haven't gotten an answer yet -- from either the designer or anyone here. Now don't yell -- I know this is free (well, I paid for the original calendar), so I'm not stamping my feet or having a hissy fit. But, I would like to find a way to export events out of the calendar for use in print. Is there another solution? Or a way to make the mod work? Thanks for any help -- even if all you tell me is that there's no solution. John IP: Logged |

It's working fine for me and we use it to generate all kinds of reports in Excel. Keep trying, you'll get it working.------------------

Well, that's encouraging. But I'm stumped as to where to look. I followed the instructions to the letter. The mod installed fine and appears to run fine -- except that the file created is empty. I am on a Macintosh (the server is Unix) -- could that have something to do with it? Any ideas where I should be looking? John ------------------

Ha! I figured it out.The script wants to store (temporarily) the .txt file it generates in this directory: plugins/csxport/csxdata Well, I didn't have that directory and the script didn't create it automatically. Thus, the empty text file. I created the directory, set it to 777 and now all's fine and dandy. John ------------------

Yup, that pesky little folder unpacks with the archive, but you have to upload it and permission it manually. Here's a mod I came up with that allows your downloaded .txt files to be used directly with "Import Events." It's useful for copying lists of events between different calendars. http://www.calendarscript.com/support/forum/Forum5/HTML/000274.html ------------------
