Does anyone have any tips for getting Delete Old plug-in to work?I continue to get Java-style errors (Cannot find object; line 1524). It seems like this may be that the tem, plate cannot call up the pop-up calendar, but all the other CS functions can. I've never had trouble with any other plug-ins, have latest version of Calendar Script, ran debug.cgi, checked browser Java settings, and swapped alot of frsh files to be sure this was not due to corruption. All Delete Old plug in files are in the correct plug in directory. I now have an aching scalp from pulling on my hair . Any ideas for success? TIA. IP: Logged |

I finally got this working after a reinstall of the core script files from a fresh download thinking that maybe the odd behavior was due to repeated upgrades and tweaks over the years. I had no data loss in the process as I was careful to only resinstall files that did not contain data!. If you do this, make a back up first.I cannot explain the exact cause of the error other than a possible file corruption. This is an outstanding plug-in. I used it as follows: 1. Copied default calendar to a calendar called Archive (giveing me 2 identical calendars) 2. Deleted pre-12/31/05 events from default calendar. 3. This left me with a full archive of all pre 1/1/06 data and a faster-running default calendar addressing 2006 only. 4. Guess what I'll be doing on 1/1/2007...hmm, better make an entry to reminde me . Thanks to Dave, Dan and, of course Matt, for making this such a great script! IP: Logged |

** Deleted pre-12/31/05 events from default calendar. **Any idea of the approximate count? I had one server time out on me while trying to delete a VERY large number of events. The partial process left quite a mess of the events/schedule file. I would definitely advise making a back up first. JMO Dan O. ------------------

DanO -- Indeed it was a large number (roughly 700) and the server timed out the first time. When I looked through the results, though, all seemed fine. Just to be safe, I restored the backup and deleted in several batches. Things are so much faster now. Hey, Dan, another Q...I upgraded the Oneclick Plugin since I noticed you made it play better with Email notify. Only prob is the Start and End Times are "eclipsed" (literally not showing up) on the OneClick Entry Form in IE Explorer and Avant browsers (they do show in Firefox). An experience with this issue? I've tried font changes with no luck -- it's not a code issue...it's something with how IE is displaying the file. Thanks. http://www.slbradio.com/cgi-bin/calendar_admin.pl?template=schedule_oneclick_non_recurring.html IP: Logged |

** the server timed out the first time. When I looked through the results, though, all seemed fine. **Often what happens is the event schedules get deleted but not the events themselves. This leaves them in limbo. While not immediately visible, they can be seen (and deleted) using the 'Non-Scheduled Events' plug-in described at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site. It's a handy plug-in to install anyway as you can see events which have been posted but just not scheduled... for whatever reason, allowing you to clean up the event database. ** Oneclick Plugin... prob is the Start and End Times are literally not showing up ** The template included must be one with an "AM/PM" option which I made for someone else? You can use the original OneClick template as there are no changes to it needed for the latest plug-in functionality. Or you can edit the new template and delete the lines: <div style="display:'none'"> and </div> BTW. No one can get to and see your ...cgi-bin/calendar_admin.pl?template=schedule_oneclick_non_recurring.html without having Add Event permissions. Dan O.
