Nuzgeek,

Re "any visitor to be able to ad an event"

You need to set the permission within your calendar for the ANONYMOUS USER to be able to add an event. This will require you to accept / approve the event before it is posted. You may also grant permission to edit/delete own events but with approval pending

You don't need to have a password for the Anon User.

... but DON'T give that users permissions to 'Automatically Approve Own Events'.

I seem to recall from previous versions of calendar script that there was a little admin box viewable from the public calendar page that enabled anonymous users to enter event info. for approval.  I have anonymous user "add event" checked in user permissions, but I do not see any "submit event for approval" on my calendar page.
Do I have to manually make a link to the "normal" admin area, or ... Huh?

** box viewable from the public calendar page that enabled anonymous users to enter event info. **

That must be before the current CalendarScript 3+ versions. I've never seen such a feature with any of them although you could try looking at the 'OldStyle' templates to see if they're set up that way. I kinda doubt it though as CalendarScript handles events and their schedules differently now.

You might also want to check out the "Grid Add Event" plug-in listed at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site to see if that would fit your needs.
