I want to add a couple new event fields, both having a drop down box so that you choose the item you want from the selection available, once it has been saved including the dates and times, I want those events to show on the calendar as well as in the details section.   Right now when I do this, the 2 new events will only show up in the details when you click on the time that shows on the calendar.   How can I get newly created events to show on the calendar also?

Do you mean you want the event fields to display in the calendar grids??
(The events should already be linked from the calendar displays.)

If so, you'd have to edit the template you are using (usually default.html) and add
<%= EVENT FIELD(Field_Key) %> where you wanted that field to display.
(Replace "Field_Key" with the key value for the field you wanted displayed.).
