We're using the calendar as a way to manage a tennis league. The league captain posts scheduled matches as events with start and stop times, and the team members confirm they'll be there by adding an "all day" event with their name and "confirmed" as the event title.

Having team members use a specific starting time that's one minute later than the match looks bizarre and clutters the calendar, but otherwise the "all day" events sort above the "timed" event, pushing the match information down to the bottom under 13 or 14 "confirmed" messages.

Is there any easy way to have the script give precedence to timed events, always displaying them before "all day" events?

Thanks much.

I assume this is on the 'Day View' screen?

I can't think of an easy way I'm afraid.

A better way to accomplish the task might be to design a plug-in that would allow users to just edit the original event listing and add a 'confirmed' status to it. That too however probably wouldn't be considered easy either, just more efficient.

Thanks, Dan. Your plug-in idea does seem to be the best possible alternative. Since I won't be building any plug-ins myself <grin> I'll just watch for someone else to design something that does the trick.

I wouldn't hold your breath, it sounds like a pretty specialized feature. If you want it, you may have to commission its creation yourself?

Although, in the mean time maybe someone can suggest a way to just sort the events differently?
