I was able to install the program and create a test user account.

The problem is that when I add events as either the test user or with the administrator account, they fail to show up. I have not done any real digging on the problem because it seems like an issue that may just be due to inexperience.

Any advice?

go to admin. under events, you'll see a listing for approve pending events. perhaps the events are pending, instead of approved. you can have events approved automatically by editing user permissions (approve own events).

The next step might be to actually do some digging and see if the events where added to the events.txt and schedule.txt files.
