I have no clue what happened here. The calendar has been happily working for about a month. A user with permission to post called this morning complaining that their new entries are still requiring approval when I know they were given self approval permission. Not a biggy, BUT, theres more...

The calendar is not showing ANY events anymore. The calendar events.txt is still full of all the events, but they do not show up in the output anymore.

I'm really confused as I eneterd a couple of test events and they appear in the events.txt and everything looks great, but still no output!?

Any ideas as to whats happened?
Did the user this morning do something?
Are there any permissions to check?
Should I reload any .pl files?
What a way to start the morning

Have you run debug.pl in your browser to see if it revealed any problems?

Everythings fine. Thats the weird thing. Heres another anomoly...
I chaged a users permissions and it after its was saved, and relaoded with the new settings it was actually allowed NO checked blocks
Adding events..
Its says they are added. If I download the events.txt, they are there, but they wont actually display.

Like I said. It WAS working fine till one of the folks tried to add some things for approval this morning. Then zap! Nothing from the DB is showing up anymore.

Well, I really don't have a clue.  Just make sure everything's chmodded to 777, maybe try re-uploading calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl.  Other than that, I would be stabbing in the dark to offer any other ideas.  Any body else have an idea?  If you don't mind, post a url so we can look at the problem for ourselves.

By the way, can Administrator see the events, or is everyone blocked from seeing them?

Well,

I really am not sure what happened but evenhtually I replaced the events.txt and associated db files and now everything will have to be re-entered. It seems to work now. I did try to reload the old events.txt just to see. That goes blank though. I noticed the calendar events he entered looked a little werid in the file too.

Anyway, time to read up on importing a database haha

Thanks for trying to help man.

I realize the original post to this topic is quite old but I thought I would add to it since I had a similar problem.

The other day one of our staff opened up our internal calendar and everything was blank. New events could be added but everything else, hundreds of entries, all gone. The information was still in events.txt and schedule.txt, chmod all correct.

Finally while going through the events.txt file I discovered that the "format" line had a duplicate entry. an "author_name" category had somehow duplicated itself. When I removed that column header all of the data began to appear again on the calendar. Very wierd, I have no idea how the problem originated.
