calendar.pl' script produced no output
«

I have had calendarscript running on my site for something around 3 years and it has worked fine. I currently have 17 active calendars in use.
Then suddenly on Saturday, when clicking the link to open, all of them are returning the following error:
'. . . \cgi-bin\calendar. pl' script produced no output
I have not touched any of these calendars since 2/15/08, and while many people are entering events, their permissions are all very limited, so I can't see that they could have mucked anything up.
I asked the hosting company (Readyhosting . . . yes I know they are horrible, but my client doen's want to go thru a hosting change) to check their server settings to see if anything had changed at their end. Of course after i waited 24 hours, their answer was that they don't support
server-side programs, and I could pretty much kiss their you-know-whats.
This is a time-sensitive issue, and any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I tried to post this with an attachment containing th url, but it would not allow me to do so.

Come on folks! I'm desperate! I've got 17 angry hockey coaches ready to string me up if I don't get these calendars up and running again. Doesn't SOMEONE have an idea?
Thanks!

** 'calendar.pl' script produced no output **
That just means the script failed to run but says absolutely nothing about why.
Someone would need to check the server error logs to see if a more detailed error message was recorded or failing that, running the script from the command line (telnet, SSH, etc.) to see what error(s) Perl reports. Once you have that if you can't determine the cause yourself, post it here and we'll see if we can suggest a course of action.

Sorry but I didn't see your message yesterday. I help out in the forums only when I have time, it's not my full time job.

It would likely only accept a file from your own had drive. If you want to link to something on the web, make a link.

Thank you very much for your response. I hope you took no offense as I did not mean to scold, only make a desperate plea. I truely appreciate your time and superior knowledge (as a graphics person, this is all greek to me and I pay homage to the tech gods on a regular basis)!
I finally got the hosting company to take an interest in the problem, thanks to one very outstanding tech. As of yesterday, they could find nothing wrong with the script. They are presently checking the server error logs.
Thanks for the tip about the file, although I was attempting to attach a local txt file, so I'm still stumped, but I should have thought to just include a link.
I will keep you posted.

Were you able to find the problem and get it working?
Just curious.
