Can I install and connect to an existing database?
«

I was running CalendarScript on a linux server, until the site went down. The tech support staff managed to get my hosting account back online, minus the website itself. They did however manage to save the old MySQL database, which contains the events, etc (I hope).
Now that I have to re-upload my website, re-install my scripts, is it possible to install CalendarScript and connect to the existing database and tables so it can retrieve the information already stored?
If yes, how do I do that?
Thanks in advance.

** They did however manage to save the old MySQL database **
You must not be using CalendarScript as it doesn't use MySQL for its data, just plain text files.
JFYI

I'm using it, but thought it did.
It's called old age . . . . . .

That would help, I'm sure. It is easier to backup a database than all the other bits and pieces.
