Ok, now that I have the calendar up and running (great script by the way  Grin ), I wonder if the following is possible:

1) I want to keep the default template, but would like to change the brown/beige colour on the left and top to a background image? If you have a look at my current display, I think you would agree that using the same background as on the main site would look better.

hxxp: www. peggysprops. co. uk/ Scroll down to the bottom of the links and use the testing link (the other one is the one I want to replace it with)

2) Is it possible to display the events on the calendar itself, instead of a new page? If not, would it be possible to change the background of the events page to a background image, same as above?

If any of this is possible, a simple instruction how to achieve it would be appreciated.

Thank you.

** would like to change the brown/beige colour on the left and top to a background image? **

You would likely have to manually edit the template to add a background image.

** Is it possible to display the events on the calendar itself, **

You mean the event details? and inside the calendar grids??

It is likely possible although would require customization to achieve it. I don't know if anyone has posted instructions for such modifications, try search the forum.

Take note however, that could make the grids pretty cluttered (depending on the number of events and the amount of details for each) and could cause the calendar grids to become woefully out of shape. The purpose of the grid view is, after all, designed to make it look like a calendar.

Ok, I can live with the events being displayed on a separate page.  It is, as you said, better that way.

Regarding the manual editing of the template to incorporate a background image, can anyone tell me which file(s) I have to edit? There are quite a few folders, files, etc.  I'm using the default template.

Thank you.

Most calendar views are generated by the default.html template. If using the default template set, it will be found in the /default/ calendar templates directory.
