i'm about to change the mysql password but i don't wnat to becuase if i do my calendar wont' work   how do i go about editing the user/pass that the script uses to get into mysql with?

CalendarScript does not use MySQL (nor any type of SQL database) so whatever you do to that won't effect the calendar.
