is there any way to reset all colors back to the out-of-box state easily? We have a client who changed a mess of colors and now wants them back to the original default colors. Thanks in advance.

Probably not easily.

I believe those (and many more of the calendar's) settings are stored in the config.txt file. It may be possible to upload a fresh copy of that file but I don't know what other stored information would be lost in the process. Also, I do not know if the administration section's options are also stored there, if those were changed as well.
