I am working on setting up the emails reminder using CSR and also EmailNotify2.  What is the proper way to set up cron jobs in UNIX?

Check your host's FAQ or ask their support. They will tell you the way it needs to be handled on whatever server software you're hosted on.

i use webcron.org since my host doesnt let me set up any myself.  i think you get 3 free
