I understand that you can't use a PHP include to place the Calendar into an existing page because once you click on links in the calendar, you'll leave the original page layout.  What about the opposite.  Can I create files called header.html and footer.html and then enter code into the template's header and footer fields so as to tell it to go out and get the header and footer files?  If not, could you point me to a forum post that explains how to edit the default.html file so as to customize the page layout.  Thanks very much.

You can NOT enter such information into the header and footer fields and have CalendarScript 'fetch' those pages. You can add SSI type tags manually to the default.html template file and have CalendarScript add it (see Include Files). I doubt those pages can be PHP pages though.

I've never seen such a posting. All you need to so is open the template file in a text editor, find the area you want to change and then change it.

Thanks.  So I take it thats a "no" to the first part of the question... you can't place some kind of include or call to an external file for the template header and footer, correct?

You can have other files included into CalendarScript's output but not by just entering that information into the template customization fields. Maybe this will be clearer for you??

- You CAN NOT enter such code in the header and footer option fields in the Template Customization section.

- You CAN include files by manually editing the default.html template file and inserting the include code there, as described at the link I pointed to.

Thank you.  Sorry for not getting that the first time.  If I'm not mistaken, it also looks like you could, in fact, insert the calendar into an existing page by using an iframe.  I've tried it and all the links appear to work.
