Some how I added a event field and now I can't delete it.

On the customize event field admin panel.

I have a field I can't get rid of ...

Is there a place to go to delete it ?

I don't want to have to start over.

thanks

donna

(PS ... I finally got SSH access and got it working)

All fields that are deletable can be deleted from the 'Customize Event Fields' screen. You will NOT be able to (and should not even try) to delete any field without a [ Delete ] button (eg. Title, author_id, time_added, etc.) as they are required by the script!

Maybe you've renamed one of those fields?

Maybe you could post a follow up to your other message(s) explaining where the problem(s) was? It helps to have answers included with posts so that when others come looking, they find the answers included with the original complaint. That's how a support forum works best. :/

No it does not have a delete button !

But I must have over written something cause it's now called Joe's schedule !LOL.

Should I just start over - or is that a flat file I can just replace with the original one ?

thanks

** But I must have over written something cause it's now called Joe's schedule **

Than rename it to something else which is useful. It should be able to be edited even if it can't be deleted.

** is that a flat file I can just replace with the original one ? **

I don't know if only the events.properties file is all that is involved.

Well I reinstalled everything to try to get rid of that field (I could rename it - but it was "required" and I had to enter something into the field every time I wanted to add an event)

However - now I broke it again.

I have ssh acess and it works that way ... but running through the browser - I get the error message again.

Can I email you - maybe you can look at the files for me ?

Thanks

Donna

Maybe the 'title' field. You don't want to delete it as many parts of the program expect it to be there.

I'm afraid I do not provide email support... for free. If you don't paying, you can email me. It may take several days to get back to you though as I don't check that email address very often.

Which error message was that? If this is a continuation of another forum message, please post additional comments about it as replies to that forum message to keep all messages on the same topic together so others can follow the discussion too.
