I just installed : Email Notify the plugin that sends email to the administrator specified on the Calendar Settings page when an event needs approving.

When testing this script logged in as "Anonymous User" and receive this message on the first page when I hit "Save and Continue:

This event has been saved pending Administrator approval
Event added successfully
Error running custom function 'after_add_event'. The error is: [Couldn't open sendmail! ]

Any suggestions on how to correct?

Hi

Make sure that plugin is enabled and all permissions
are properly set even on calendarscript files as well.

Then Try this

Under Admin Email Preferences
check SMTP and put localhost

Its hard to tell somtimes, if its you or
its the plugin itself. I got the same message and that
above worked, unfortunaly I had to can the whole script
from my server.

Hope this helps

I can't seem to find a place to change the email preferences while logged in as the Admin.

Could you explain in more detail where this might be?

Thanks for your prompt reply!

I'm guessing its notify2 you have installed and run a linux server?
windows server's I know nothing about.

#1 Read the readme and get to really know that plugin

#2 login under admin look for this line in the main menu area,
Manage "Plugins : Enable and Disable installed plugins",
make sure that plugin is enabled.

#3 Once enabled find this line in the main menu area
"Global Setup : Change the global settings for the Email Plugin.
then follow my last post.

Hope this helps

Thanks for clarifying.  Oddly, I don't have an option for "Global Setup : Change the global settings for the Email Plugin."

The Plug in is "enabled".

I did change the Sendmail command line to "/usr/lib/sendmail"

I don't get the error message anymore; however I am not getting the messages sent to the requested email box.
