I use an old imac, system 9.2.  Today, when I logged in to update my calendar (copyright 1999, I can't find the version on the sign in page), I get the error message which follows this note. I run the program using the internet explorer 5.1 for the mac.

Does this error message mean I need to upgrade the software in order to continue using it? If yes, HELP!. If no, HELP! I'm not terribly techno savvy (A redundant thought, given I started this email saying, "I use an old imac . . .")  I'm afraid I don't know the answers to the rest of the questions, as they may as well be written in Chinese.

Hope someone can help:

** Can't open for writing! **

It sounds like the file or directory permissions have changed on the server. Your host may have changed something on the server which caused that in which case you should contact their support to see if they can correct the problems.

** Does this error message mean I need to upgrade  **

Unlikely.

Your iMac if running 9.2 can't be that old. I prefer 9 to X any day.  But I digress. It just sounds like you need to fire up Fetch, set your files to 755 that are evident when you look in your cgi-bin and the calendarscript folder should be 777. I had to move mine from the scgi-bin to the cgi-bin and now it all works PERFECTLY.

I am wondering what bennies there are to updating to 3.2?
