Is there any plugin or code modification that can be done to exclude the weekend from new entries.

example:  I have a conference I want to add, it spans 3 weeks but the conference is not actually on the weekends.  I want to show it during the weekdays but not on the weekends.  Is there any way other than entering the event 3 different times so it only spans the weekdays?

How about recurring daily Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, between the start and end date of the 3 week period?
