I backed up the content - date entries, and all that.  I reinstalled 3.21, and copied back in the content and everything is working great.

However, if you go to add a new event, it shows the custom fields that I added, but when you view the calendar, it doesn't show my custom fields.

Is there a specific file that records those?

** I reinstalled 3.21 **

You mean you installed the whole version of the script rather than just the update(s)?

** I backed up the content **

Which consisted of exactly which file(s)?

** when you view the calendar, it doesn't show my custom fields **

Where some modifications made to the original files to make that happen?? If you over-wrote those files, you'll have to re-do the modifications to get the display the same again.

I installed a new copy of 3.21 because I had an older version that was hacked.  I was fearful of trying to hork with it because it is a public calendar that was very heavily utilized.

I backed up ALL the files, but only restored the calendar template, and the system, event and config text files.

Sorry if I was unclear.  I did not make any modifications other than to add several fields.

**  ... view the calendar, it doesn't show my custom fields. **

There is a setting in the Customize Event Fields section for each field which is defined. Check the option which says "Display in details: (o) Yes" for each item you want displayed on the details page.
