I am new to CalendarScript, and attempting to take on a modification. I'm not sure whether discussions like this belong in the "plugins" forum, or here.....

I started a thread ( LimitedOverlap ) in the plugins forum to outline the details of what I'm trying to do. If anyone has the time and can help me get up to speed on how to accomplish what I'm after, I'd be very gratefull.

In general, just a high-level explaination or snippets on how to access the info I need would be a great help. I am very unclear how to query the existing event and schedule DBs and possibly modify the records.

I dont know if anyone has already done it, but it would be REALLY cool to develop either an official or unofficial developers guide to help get people up to speed on available data structures, how to get, set, modify values without breaking things, etc.

thanx in advance,

d

... I finally got it put together. not exactly the way I had psuedo-coded since I had to learn a lot about the differences between single, range, and recurring event data structures.

if anyone wants the code, let me know....

** if anyone wants the code **

If you want to zip it up with a short description of what it does, I will add it to the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site if you'd like?
