Hi

I was wondering if it is possible to have the current date as the first date on display in the 4 week mode?  As in - no dates/events older than today are displayed on the calendar?

Also - Can I change the template so that the calendar displays 4 weeks over two rows?  So that there's two weeks, then two weeks.

Thanks,

Kathy

** I was wondering if it is possible to have the current date as the first date on display in the 4 week mode? **

I doubt it, "calendars" are usually designed to display weeks (sun-sat, etc.) at a time. It may be possible to get the 'List View' to display events from the current date forward, in fact the SSI template does that now.

** Can I change the template so that the calendar displays 4 weeks over two rows? **

I believe it would take more than template changes to accomplish that. It may require modification of the sub getEvents { in the calendar.pl file. I've never tried it though.

It might not be too difficult to negate printing of the event links and possibly the date numbers in the calendar grids but the grids themself would still need to be there, they'd just be blank.

JFYI

Kathy,

I have some similiar on a web site that I maintain......it is a calendar of classes and we allow the user to register on-line via this calendar for the classes and also allow them to pay by credit card for the class.   We don't want anyone trying to register for a class that has passed (date wise...or in other words...and class that has already taken place).   So I just check to make sure the class date is greater than or equal to the current date.....if so, I display the registration form.....else I display a message informing the user that this particular class date has past and they should try another date in the future.    You can see the calendar in action at:   http://www.thebeadstore-jno.com/calendar/calendar.pl

Of course I don't prohibit the event from showing on the calendar if the date has past.......but I do prohibit them from registering for the class if the date has past.
