I had CalendarScript installed on my website and loved it for about a week. Don't get me wrong, I have no disappointment with the CalendarScript application, I have a disappointment with my web host. Their UNIX based Apache web server got hacked and subsequently they have disabled CGI BIN. According to the web host, I should not need CGI BIN if it does not execute binaries. Is this correct? They told me that they would enable mod_perl and everything should work Fine. Is this correct? Does any one have any input on how I can make this work?

CalendarScript is not compatible with mod_perl (for now). It's true that you don't necessarily need a "cgi-bin" directory to have perl scripts enabled, though. You can setup your web server to execute perl scripts anywhere.

You just need to tell your web host that you need to run a Perl CGI script _not_ under mod_perl, and they can either tell you exactly what you need to do or tell you that you can't do it anymore
