In the process of my first customization I created quite a few "orphan" events by using the browser "back" button after creating and event but not scheduling it.

Additionally, the application i am working on really has no need to keep events more than 60 days old.

In both cases I am thinking it sure would be nice to write up a script that would clean out all this crap. perhaps triggered via a after_login plugin or something? anybody up for this sort of thing?

Or, is there a manual way I can train my calendar administrator to go in  and clean up via the admin interface? I didnt really see any way to get rid of old events....

TubeDave has designed a "DeleteOld" plugin that should be able to be used either manually or possibly modified to run automatically. You can find it at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site.

I don't know if it will delete the orphaned events. You'll have to give it a try and see.
