I figured this out before but I lost my calendar.
I think it was in the events that a drop down box said "Private/public"
or i changed it so that a public user can't see the details of it the event.
I forget and I need help

I don't think events themselves can be private.  You would have to add the event to a private calendar.

There is a 'public/private' field which is, currently, always set to 'public'. This is for future use, but if you wanted to hack in functionality for it now, you could do so.

Has anyone actually gotten the Private / Public capability to work?  Can you share your updates?  The indication here is that an update was being worked on about  a year ago and 3.2 now incldues an unusable "private" field.  Has anyone made that usable?

** Has anyone actually gotten the Private / Public capability to work? **

There are numerous way to achieve it, try searching the forums for "private" (without the quotes) to read what has been discussed on the subject previously. One such message is: "First attempt at customization".

There is also a plug-in titled "Private Events" at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site which if it doesn't do exactly what you want right now, may be able to be modified to your purpose.
