I want to be able to attach a Word or Excel file to postings. What is the best way to approach as I see no option via add fields screen?

Well, first off, unless your audience knows you, you are opening a "can of worms" by posting a file that could hold malicious code. You might want to rethink the uploading format bit. Better to use PDFs, unless you need the files to be editable.

Are you allowing users to upload or do you want to do it just as the admin?

You could create a field called "Docs" and put a link to the file, after you place it on your server.

Or you may want to use an upload/download manager and just link to the file that way.

The more information, the better the answers ;-)

I hate to drudge up an old thread, but I am also looking for a way to do this. I would like to set it so only certain level of user can upload attachments in word and or excel format. My calendar is only used by a select few people so I am not worried about malicious files being uploaded, I just want them to be able to upload the file attachment, then another user can click on a link to the attachment and download it.
