Greetings -
I have 3 (currently) calendars in which I'd like my users to be able to access/view. Currently, they only see the 'default' calendar. Only the Admin is able to select a different calendar to view as time.

I tried the meta-calendar plugin but that didn't seem to function at all for me...could be operator error..

thanks,
Marshal

** Only the Admin is able to select a different calendar to view as time. **

Than it sounds like the other users don't have 'View' permissions for those other calendars.

** the meta-calendar plugin but that didn't seem to function at all for me **

You don't see any events or maybe just error message(s) are displayed??? Kinda hard to suggest a possible cause or fix without more detailed information.

Greetings (again) -
Here's some more info as I realize now that what I wrote was not that helpful.

Here's the deal:
1 - I haven't seen where/how to make the calendar(s) available to all users. Currently, which could be part of the problem, I only have the 'out of the box' anonymous and an Admin account.

2 - The meta-calendar (unless I am mistaken) appeared to have the ability to display data from multiple calendars and provide the ability to search multiple calendars. The error I received with that plugin, when went to the search screen was:
"Error requiring custom function file 'G:WinappsPeregrinecalendarapp/calendarscript/plugins/MetaCalendar/display_after_getInput.pl'. The error is: [Can't locate G:WinappsPeregrinelendarapp/calendarscript/plugins/MetaCalendar/display_after_getInput.pl at (eval 1) line 1. ]"

Poking around, I could not locate where that line was that generated the error message.

Like I said, the main option i am trying to do is be able to have a user (or user(s)) be able to view the different calendars.

> Calendar Administration > User Admin > Modify User Permissions

** 2 - The meta-calendar (unless I am mistaken) appeared to have the ability to display data from multiple calendars and provide the ability to search multiple calendars **

Yes but it will still only display events from calendars the user has permissions to view. If they can't even view the calendars, there's not hope of seeing their events.

** Can't locate G:WinappsPeregrinelendarapp/calendarscript/plugins/MetaCalendar/display_after_getInput.pl **

Is that file there??

** I could not locate where that line was that generated the error message. **

The script generates that error message on the fly and is telling you what it thinks the problem is, "Can't locate file...".

Hola -

** Can't locate G:WinappsPeregrinelendarapp/calendarscript/plugins/MetaCalendar/display_after_getInput.pl **

***Is that file there??***

Well, that's the interesting bit, see the file is there but for some reason the path that it's showing is not correct. It states that G:WinappsPeregrinelendarapp/ when it should be G:\Winapps\Peregrine\calendarapp

It's almost like it got confused of what the full path is, you know?

As for the user's permissions, yes they have the access to view the other calendars.

** G:WinappsPeregrinelendarapp/ when it should be G:\Winapps\Peregrine\calendarapp **

I'm afraid I have no idea what would cause that and only on that plug-in, sorry. If it happened for both the calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl files, I'd suggest manually setting the $BASE_DIR variable in them.

BTW. When using paths in Perl scripts, use forward slashes (/) as separators and not backslashes (\).

** yes they have the access to view the other calendars. **

Than there should be no reason they can't get to those other calendars. I'm afraid i have no idea where you problem is.
