I wouldn't trade Matt's script for anything! :-)

Great reply by the way. I do actually rate Matt's script most highly myself and was not alluding to any thought of absconding or even that others should.

But you miss my point!

Which is, that this section is to put forward new ideas for further developments etc. Or am I wrong about that?
Any research sources are invaluable for people to have a look at especially in relation to possible new features for CalendarScript. The above link is just one of many that could/should be here in so far as they might usefully ilustrate them.

However, I do admit that I did not explain the usefullness and relevance of that link in this regard and that my article was, at best, quite useless and perfunctory. I just imagined that people would have a look and immediately see some good ideas. I was wrong.

Incidentally, I am quite sure that Matt does a great deal of similar research and is not in the least bit paranoid that we will all abandon him if we dare to look around. Indeed, how much flattering that, having done so, we bring something useful back to contribute and stick with it.

My own research archives are extensive and include all of the best products around. They are each unique and I often find inspiration from any one concerning some feature or other that is truly excellent.

Now, to contribute an idea that would be immensely useful for me and possibly many other people; it would be great if CalendarScript integrated with PostNuke-Phoenix-0.7.2.3 and also phpBB2. There are existing solutions and a new module, PNphpBB2 to integrate the BB is now available. But users there would love Matt's script if it also integrated and that would provide a whole new market for him.

However, most mod contributions are Open Source as is PN! lol

Great script Matt!

I run a NFP web site for www.stpaulsunlimited.org.uk.  It is 100% NFP and community based. Web event offers several features that are incredibly useful for NFP's such as:

*Publish detailed event information to staff, volunteers, members, and the public
*Send tailored updates and email reminders to internal and external audiences
*Schedule meetings between staff
*Reserve meeting rooms, equipment, and other resources
*Schedule volunteers
*Post and track fund-raising deadlines

For a full list go to:http://www.webevent.com/products/comparison.html

The core of our web site is PostNuke-Phoenix-0.7.2.3 and it would be a most perfect world indeed if CalendarScript integrated with that as well as providing all of the above features.

One of the main reasons that NFP's are uncuccessful is due to their inability to organise themselves. This is a great shame since most of them have immensely laudable objectives that could be more easily realised given the right tools for the job.

Those of you who took the trouble to follow the link to our own site, www.stpaulsunlimited.org.uk   will have noticed simply a splash page followed by a forum which is actually a Proboards forum and not phpBB2.

This is because the site is still under construction.

However, the eventual PostNuke-Phoenix-0.7.2.3 core already exists at http://www.stpaulsunlimited.org.uk/postnuke-phoenix-0.7.2.3/html/index.php  and merely remains behind the scenes until it is ready for publishing.

Simililarly, phpBB2 also already exists behind the scenes but is still under construction so you can't see it yet.
