*Windows 2000 Server,IIS configured and running, Installed ActivePerl(I installed the correct version by checking the doc.)
*Internet Explorer 6
*No error Messages
*Unzipped the files and installed at the default location C:/Program Files/Calendarscript. The System account has full control on the Calendarscript folder.
*Changed the $Base_Dir variable manually to find the calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl(I had to do that because the debug.pl told me that my path was incorrect). Now I have got past the error!
*Intranet envioronment. Question: Do I need to install Calendarscript under C:/Inetpub/cgi-bin directory or would the application run from my default directory?
Question: Do I really need to enable execution of cgi scripts on my server even in an intranet envioronment? If so, can anybody point me how to do that on win 2k server.
*Running Debug.pl, gives me an message saying that JavaScript may not be enable on your browser. I checked that and I know for use that it is enabled. I am using the latest version of Explorer.
*I have checked the documentation but does not have answers to my specific questions.

Another Question: When running the test from a workstation, e.g. //134.139.175.11/scripts/calender.pl, I get a list of Programs to open with. What does that indicate? I think that it find the find but cannot find the program to execute with. Any suggestions?

ALL CGI scripts need to be run from a *web* server environment. They will not usually run on a *file* server except maybe if in a Windows environment and run in a Windows console. But I don't do Windows so I can't help you there.

That means the operating system doesn't recognize that it is a Perl script and that Perl needs to interpret it. Someone will either have to map the ".pl" file name extension to Perl (ask the system manager) or you will have to change the file extensions to ones which the system knows to run through Perl, maybe .cgi?
