I have been using this script for almost two years now and it is working great for us.

However, I have now moved my site to a new web host and, being very non-technically oriented, am having a terrible time getting everything to work.

I have been through the instructions, and have checked everything, but just can't seem to get anywhere.

Is there someone, please, please, please, who is willing to help me get this back up and running on my new site?

We are a non-profit agency, so I can't afford to hire this work out.

If you need further assistance, you're going to need to be very specific about what problems you're having (error messages, etc.) and possibly the new server's information (server software, operating system, etc.) as well.

I'm not sure how to describe my problem.  I am getting a 500 server error now on the calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl links.  Here is the URL: http://centraliowaapa.org/cgi-bin/calendar.pl

I went through the host's file manager and changed the permissions to all of the folders and files as instructed, but of course, could have done something incorrectly.

The host is ipowerweb.com and below is the information they sent to me during set up.

VI. CGI Path Information

Path to Perl: /usr/bin/perl
Path to Sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail
Path to home directory: /home/centrali
Path to Date: /bin/date
What Operating System are we using? FreeBSD
What Web Server Software is running on the server? Apache 1.3

Also, now I am getting a Server Timed Out error when I try to publish my site from Frontpage, so I'm guessing something has been goobered up by me.

I know absolutely nothing about CGI scripts and programming language.

Is this something you would be willing to help me look at together over the phone?

What other information can I provide to you?

A 500 error just means something is wrong but tells nothing about what is causing it. You'll have to look in your server's error logs to see if a more detailed error message was recorded or failing that, if you have shell access (telnet, SSH, etc.) try running the script from the command line to see what errors Perl reports. If you can provide that, I might be able to offer a suggestion as to the possible cause.

Well, you're talking over my head.  I have no idea what you mean by shell access.  Can you clarify?

Shell access allows you to enter server commands directly into a console (like a DOS window).

If you don't have access to the server logs or they don't provide any additional information, I suggest you contact your host's support and ask if they can supply that information.
