I have uploaded calendarscript to cgi-bin as instructed and have chmod every file to 755. I was told by our host the 777 is not allowed.  He recommended 755.  It is a linux based sytem.  I am getting a 500 internal server error message.  Can't see anything ran debug.pl and same error

I am trying to access the site by www.nlag.net/cgi-bin/calendar.pl

my path to Perl is #!/usr/bin/perl
my full path to CGI is /home/httpd/vhosts/NLAG.NET/cgi-bin

Is there something else I should try?

I'm pretty sure I uploaded in ASCII.  I used WS_FTP LE and checked to ASCII box before uploading

thanks

Mark

I did look up the error log and here is what I found
[Sun Oct 26 16:58:48 2003] [error] [client 24.196.99.125] Premature end of script headers: /home/httpd/vhosts/nlag.net/cgi-bin/calendar.pl

[error] [client 24.196.99.125] Premature end of script **

** Is there something else I should try? **

I'm afraid that isn't a detailed enough error message to determine the cause. If you have shell access (telnet, SSH, etc.) try running the script from the command line to see what error(s) Perl reports. If not, ask your host's support to do it for you.

If it generates HTML code when called from the command line, the usual problem is incorrect file or directory permissions.
