ok I had one more try using install.bat

everything seemed to go correctly and the files ended up in the right place.

however once again, when I add an event it does not show up on the calendar or the "improve pending events" page.

so I run debug.pl and this is the reply:....

"The file does not exist" problems are usually caused by the $BASE_DIR path being incorrect.
"No READ access" and "No WRITE access" problems are usually caused by forgetting to CHMOD the files or directories after transfer, or not giving the correct permissions in Windows.

hi there

me too, i had lots of problems like yours. after hours of research i finally got it working on two different unix servers.

in my case, it all had to do with corrupt data files and PC vs. UNIX style ASCII files.

i ended up making sure all files except *.html or *.js were saved in unix ascii format. the data files neded to be virgin (empty) though. somehow i failed to modify filled files.

i tried both, the zip and tar distribution and seemed to have the same problems.

in the process of trying to get this (actually really cool) script to work i lost a bit the overview of all my changes. sorry, i cannot be much more specific.
