hello, we purchased calendarscript and are having a problem with login.  We've been using the script with no problems for months now and suddenly while trying to login it keeps looping to enter the password.  We click login, enter the login and pass, then it will say logged in, but when I click to edit or add an event it asks to select the calendar then after selecting the calendar it keeps asking to login again.  As far as I know the server paths are all still the same and nothing has changed to the script or directory structure.  No errors are reported by the browser. Haven't run debug.pl yet, not sure how from my computer.  I don't think I can login to use unix commands.

Please help.  Thanks for your time.  - Ross

the website is www.gracehere.org  then click on calendar on the left side.

It sounds like something has changed on your server, likely directory or file permissions. Check with your host's support to see what they've changed recently and if they can correct the file and/or directory permissions.

Try adding the url of the server running the script as a Trusted Site under IE's Tools, Internet Options, Security.

It fixed a similar problem for me.

Or....I'm seeing a lot of folks having login looping going on and I might have your solution. If it's the same problem I encountered many months ago my problem was fixed by changing my Session Cookies setting in Internet Explorer. This is not the same as Enabling Cookies in general. It is specifically Session Cookies.
This is done differently within various releases of IE, but you do it from within the Tools/Internet Options config for IE. In version 6 it's Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Advanced. Make sure the Always Allow Session Cookies is checked.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone found a solution to this?  I have been using calendarscript for a bit over a year and a half on a server of my own (Red Hat Linux) and it just stopped working and started going "loopy" (aka login loop).  I have multiple computers that I have tested this on.  I haven't changed a thing on the server, tried accessing the pages via the IP, ran the debug and passed with flying colors, and my whole calendar directory has the correct permissions.  I am at a complete loss at this point.  Like I said I haven't made any changes to the server nor the calendar.  I even decided to try and reinstall and the problem persists on a fresh install with no data except the default information.  Any help would be great!
