Dan,
I noticed in your post for the release of the Meta Calendar 2 you listed features of what the newer version will do.  I am really interested in a couple of the function but I have not been able to figure out how to make them work.

One of them is,
Events can be posted to the meta calendar (at the discretion of the administrator). - I cannot figure how to stop a post from another calendar from reaching the Meta Calendar.  What I am trying to prevent is post from a sub calendar reaching the Meta Calendar until it gets approved.  Is this possible?  If so how?

Events will not display on any calendar until they're approved by the administrator... if you've set the users' permissions that way (ie. NOT given them "Automatically approve own events" permissions). That is regular function of CalendarScript.

Is there a way to have an event post only on a specific sub calendar and not the Meta Calendar?

Dan,
What I am trying to accomplish is the follow and maybe you can suggest a way to set this up.  We have three facilities that are used by our parish for different event, Church Hall, Activities bldg., and Meeting Center.  Most of the events from the about reference facilities we want posted on the Main parish calendar but not all.  Is there a way through the Meta Calendar or other options to select what calendars you want your event posted on, pending approval?  Can you approval an event from one calendar and not the other (Meta Calendar)?

Thanks Dennis

No, it is not possible to selectively choose which events on a single calendar will display on the meta calendar.

You could of course set up multiple other calendars for events to be posted to and only define one of those calendar's events to be included in the Meta Calendar display. Being able to define multiple Meta Calendars is what the Meta Calendar 2 is all about.

The only 'approval' process is the one built into CalendarScript. Something might be able to customized to allow manual inclusion of events onto the Meta Calendar but that would require custom coding.

Dan,
Thanks for the response.  I have another question.  Were is the setting that displays the links to all the calendars in the menu bar to the left?

Thanks Dennis

There is no 'setting' that controls the 'calendar selector' menu. It is hard coded into the default.html template.

If you wanted to remove it, the template would have to be manually edited. That is discussed in the _installation.txt file under 'Options'.
