I want the events from one of my calendars to show in the grid, and I don't want the calendar name listed with the others on the left side.

Specifically, see http://www.cert-la.com/calendar/calendar.cgi?calendar=default

I want the holidays to be on the grid, but I don't want Holidays listed along with the other calendars on the left.

You would have to add a conditional in the <%-- Calendar Selector --%> part of the template to skip it.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't you already alter that display to not list certain calendars? If so, use that code as an example.
