MetaCalendar2 replacing original MetaCalendar
«

Two questions, please.
I currently have the original meta calendar plug-in installed with 3 "real" calendars and 1 meta calendar. They are all working great. If I install the new MetaCalendar2, what is proper way to proceed so that I do not lose any data or formatting? Do I install MetaCalendar2 and then disable the original MetaCalendar? Will it "see" my current set up and maintain it? Should I then remove the old MetaCalendar plugin files?
Second, one of the reasons I am considering upgrading is that I would like the second meta calendar to have different colors and fonts. I assume this is possible - correct?
Thanks for your assistance!

** If I install the new MetaCalendar2, what is proper way to proceed **
Just make sure it is listed above the original Meta Calendar on the plug-ins administration page. I don't even think the original needs to be disabled but would probably be a good idea to do.
** Should I then remove the old MetaCalendar plugin files? **
That isn't necessary. At the most disabling the original would be all that was needed.
** so that I do not lose any data or formatting? **
Nothing will be lost but the previous meta calendar settings will not be used by the Meta Calendar 2 plug-in.
** Second, one of the reasons I am considering upgrading is that I would like the second meta calendar to have different colors and fonts. I assume this is possible - correct? **
If you make a new calendar with the colors you want and define it as a meta calendar, yes it will have those colors. However, I believe the event details pop-up take their coloring from the calendar they are on so those colors may not be same as the new calendar's colors. I could be wrong though, it's been a while since i used it.
