We had purchased Calendar for a non-profit domain which is now defunct.  Can I load it on another non-profit domain with paign the liscense fee?

I am not CalendarScript's author but I would assume it depends on whom owns the license. If that's you and it will only be installed on one domain in total, I don't see why not.

If you don't own the license, I would say installing the script elsewhere without registering it would be against Matt's stated terms of use.

Just my opinion though. Check with Matt via email if you have any doubts.
