I'm changing my web host provider and was wondering if/how I can move my existing calendar without losing all the entries or members.

Thanks in advance.

Basically, just copy the entire calendar directory. Use the same permissions as were used at install (chmod 755 the calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl, chmod 777 the rest). And, make sure the path to perl is defined correctly for your new host.

I have done just this but the calendar appears from the old server!
I moved files that I customized and TESTED on one domain, and now they are moved to another. I can't remember the file that is used to install temporarily that you use to set the domain and all that, WHAT IS IT?
Like I said, it works fine, but it once you log in, it goes to my old domain where my demo is!
I want it on the new domain, and so I will customize it for that.

Thanks

Um, OK, I edited the config.txt file to reflect the domain and voila!

Now, I know the two .pl files need to be CHMOD 755 but ALL the files in the Main Directory should be 777? This doesn't seem right.
Otherwise I'm a happy camper now!

I hope someone asnwers this as I just asked about it under another TOPIC area?

The Times - when you moved your calendar did ALL your information transfer perfectly? If so, how, when there is no 'save info' feature in it???

Here is the error message received when wonderful and helpful 'Chris' moved mine:

Can't call method "get" on an undefined value at ./calendar.pl line 220.
