I have been running Calendarscript now for several months without issue on Netware 6.5.  I did have to tweak the operating system a little bit to get it to work, but it worked great.

Now for no apparent reason (I didn't change anything, I swear!) I cannot log into the admin application.  When I do, I get a blank page.  I checked the server logs, and it gave me some error message about the crypt function was unimplemented due to extreme paranoia.  So apparently, Novell doesn't include the crypt function in it's port of Netware.

My question is twofold:  If Netware's port doesn't include support for the crypt function, Why has it been working for such a long time?  And, how do I ask calendarscript to not use the crypt function.  I know, I know, that is insecure since the passwords are stored in plain text, but I need to get this damn thing working ASAP.  Once it is running, I can work on getting it moved to another server.

Now, I am not a programmer, so if someone does have a solution for me, just tell me what line to change and what to change it to.  I can do that.  Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!

** If Netware's port doesn't include support for the crypt function, Why has it been working for such a long time? **

Isn't that a function of Perl rather than the server software?

I'm afraid I have no idea of the answer to either of your original question. Maybe someone else will offer a suggestion?

Yes, what I meant was Netware's port of the Perl software.  Sorry.
