Just realized I might have posted this to the wrong forum.
This plugin is a modification to the import command. By adding a calendar-name column to your data file, you can now update multiple calendars in one shot now. It doesn't require switching calendars to do imports.

To make it available to see from the menu, the user needs the MULTIPLE_CALENDAR_IMPORT permission after the Plugin has been enaabled.

To be able to run it, they need ADD_EVENT for all calendars (check that option in the third permission column).

The current version will be kept at: www.public-knowledge.com/plugins/Multiple_Calendar_Import.zip

Looks useful. I'll add it to the plug-ins list at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site as soon as I get a chance.

I hope others find a use for it.

When I use a single concatenated column in Excel to build the import file, the plugin is lifesaver for instantly updating 40 hockey team calendars.

Thanks - look forward to other feedback. And if anyone has suggestions or hints to improve it that owuld be great.

I know I want to somehow incorporate a check for duplicate events - same start time, same end time and same description. just in case ....

**When I use a single concatenated column in Excel to build the import file**

I wonder if my modded csxport plugin might be the perfect companion for your new plugin -- one could enter events in a calendar, call them selectively or all through a search, download them in an import-friendly database, then broadcast it to other calendars with your plugin.

A plus is that you can also open the csxport databases in Excel to create reports, etc.

Seems like it would save a lot of time over building the database manually in Excel. Give it a try and let me know what you think . . .

Maybe in another setting but I'm just posting what another person maintains.

They have an Excel spreadsheet tracking ice time costs, arena locations, and hockey divisions. They just copy/paste the relevant calendar columns into the calendar import to populate it.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll keep it in mind for future applications

Is there a current file or documentation for this upload file?  The link on the forum listing does not work?
