In the install process, when I go to www.xxx.com/cgi-bin/calendar.pl   I get an internal server error page, no matter what I try I can't get this to run.  I have it running fine on another site on the same server.

** I get an internal server error page **

That just means something when wrong but tells us absolutely nothing about what actually did.

Check the server error logs to see if a more detailed error message was recorded. Or failing that, try running the script from the command line (telnet, SSH, etc.) to see what error(s) Perl reports.

Once you have that, if you can't figure out the cause, post that information here and we'll try to suggest possible causes.

** Premature end of script headers: calendar.pl **

I'm afraid that just means it wasn't able to run. It doesn't say why. It could be because of incorrect file or directory permissions or even the file(s) was uploaded in binary instead of ascii like it should have been.

** failed to open log file /var/log/httpd/suexec_log **

That has nothing to so with CalendarScript. You'd have to contact your host's support about it.

** Directory index forbidden by rule: /home/httpd/vhosts/morainefire.org/statistics/ **

That also has nothing to so with CalendarScript and neither do any of the other File does not exist errors:

** File does not exist: /home/httpd/vhosts/morainefire.org/httpdocs/favicon.ico **

** File does not exist: /home/httpd/vhosts/morainefire.org/httpdocs/robots.txt **

JFYI

OK, I am at a loss:

1:  I have this calendar script running on another web site on the same server.  I can't not see anything different...except ccmod permissions, some of the permissions on the site running are different than the ones on the none running site.

2:  The nonrunning site is set up as indicated in the documentation, all files are set to cmod 777.  Except for the ones outside the script folder, the .pl files and set to 755.

I have completed restarted the web site with clean files, up loaded and still get the below log errors.

Any help?

[Sun Apr 01 08:58:17 2007] [error] [client 75.53.18.167] failed to open log file /var/log/httpd/suexec_log
[Sun Apr 01 08:58:17 2007] [error] [client 75.53.18.167] fopen: Permission denied
[Sun Apr 01 08:58:17 2007] [error] [client 75.53.18.167] Premature end of script headers: calendar.pl

** all files are set to cmod 777. **

Not all server allow that (especially inside the cgi-bin directory if that's where the files are located), check your host's FAQ's. At most the data files and their directories should need permissions of 666 (766 on some servers).

** failed to open log file /var/log/httpd/suexec_log **

That has nothing to do with CalendarScript. Check with your host's support.

** fopen: Permission denied **

That probably doesn't either and is possibly related to the above error message.

Well, the server guys fixed it.  They ended up reinstalling the whole thing and it worked.  No idea why.
