I have just installed the Notify2 plugin
great plugin!! one small problem

I noticed that the event edit email only gets sent (triggered)
when somone clicks the save button at the
Calendar Administration : Schedule Event page

Its possible and very likely that if somone edits
an event they will simply click the save and continue
button and then exit, with "no admin event edit email being sent."

is their a way to trigger the alert from the Calendar Administration : Edit Event
page, that way no matter what an "admin edit event email will get sent."

Thanks
Sonny

** I have just installed the Notify2 plugin great plugin!! **

So does that mean your other forum question(s) (Notify2) is no longer required to be answered?

** is their a way to trigger the alert from the Edit Event page, [so that] no matter what an "admin edit event email will get sent." **

I'm sure there is but that would likely also cause 2 emails to be sent when someone edited both the event details AND schedule.

But anyway, there may be a way to allow what you want to occur but I am not familiar with that plug-in's use to say how to go about it. Maybe someone using it will drop by and offer a suggestion?

and since I require a password for our mail server I couldn't use that option finally I laxed
my security and went with localhost.

Better to have 2 emails then none at all.

No but I thought you might care about people using the calendarscript and throw in 2 cents like I will see about getting that corrected or somthing to that effect you do carry a admin badge I see.

how about adding

Wow I didn't know that!!!
or Thats wierd, it should'nt be like that!
or somthing

If however you were aware of that and just never said anything to anybody I would'nt be surprised

** I thought you might care about people using the calendarscript **

I wouldn't be waisting my time here if I didn't (for which I am not being compensated BTW).

Your particular concern never came up previously and I personally don't see what the big deal is about it anyway... even using the Auto Registration plug-in - which gives users instant access to the calendar already. You are free to voice your opinion (which you did), I had nothing more to add (so I didn't).

** you do carry a admin badge **

To administrate the forum, not script development.

As I stated, *I* an not responsible for the CalendarScript program. If you have a suggestion or concern about it you should post it/them in the Suggestions and Ideas forum or address them to Matt (the script's author). Hopefully Matt will read them before making the next version available and correct what he feels is necessary.
