To clarify:  When I click on a day or event, how do I get the details to pop up in a separate window? (with a link to close the window)

Using which templates? The default or OldStyle?

For the default templates see the previous forum message "Using pop-ups with default template" (which can be found linked from the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site's 'Links' section).

As far as I can see that is the default way they should work (provided you have JavaScript enabled in your browser).

If yours doesn't, maybe you could post a link to your calendar so we can see for ourselves?

oK, i GOT IT to work..
but now how do i change the preferences in the oldstyle template.  I tried clicking 'template display preferences' from the drop down list, but when I save my changes then view the calendar, nothing changes.

i copied the preferences.pl and preferences.txt from the default folder into the oldstyle.  Could this be why?

for the question above.  i should also mention that the oldstyle folder did not have a preferences.txt or preferences.pl  so i copied these from the default folder. when i saved the oldstyle preferences, it changes the default calendar not the oldstyle one.

help!

The OldStyle templates don't look to use those files. If you want to change any of their settings it looks like you'll have to edit the templates manually rather than using the administrator interface.

It depends on which calendar display you want to change the looks of.

Most of the information is display using the default.html template file but 'day view' looks to use the day.html template, event details are displayed using the event_detail.html and search results on the search.html template.

You may be able to just add some CSS code to the styles_scripts.html template which will affect all of the templates.
