I have two calendars set up.

I can search in one: http://www.cert-la.com/calendar/

When I try to search in the other: http://www.cert-la.com/calendar/calendar.cgi?calendar=dpu
I get no search results.

The search results do not return recurring event results unless those event(s) have a start date defined which occurs within the period of time being searched for.

Is there any way around this?

I want to list 7-week classes and search for a location or see how many classes one trainer taught or is scheduled to teach. If classes start every day of the week and every week of the month, I need to see what activity is scheduled this month for that person, without including last month or the month before because of the start date.

** Is there any way around this? **

It looks like Matt (CalendarScript's author) put it on his ToDo list (see "Search not working?") but haven't heard anything about it from him since then.

TubaDave posted one solution (see "search problem?") but it only works with bounded events (events with a start and end dates) and only shows the first occurrence.

I myself haven't attempted to solve the anomaly in the search routine.

How about this idea?

When you go into Edit Events and select an event, have an option to copy the event to a new one?

That could be done using a plug-in. The already made "Move Event" plug-in at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site has much of the code that would be needed but would still require considerable alterations to do what you want.

You could also try the code posted in the forum messages "Is there a way to add something like 'Event 2 of 6' serially to a sequence of events" and "Editing recurring events" or wait for TubaDave to work on his idea mentioned in "SplitRecurrences plugin".
