I downloaded the OneClick Event Entry plugin and am having trouble getting it to work. The documentation says to install in a directory under the plugins directory and activate in the management interface. I transfered the files in ascii mode and enabled in the Manage Plugins section. Looks like that's all I need to do.

My problem is I don't see the OneClick option in the management interface. Is this a permission thing? I changed the directory to 777 with no luck. The only other plugin I am using is Search Link

Thanks--Jon Dillon

** My problem is I don't see the OneClick option in the management interface. **

You mean the administration sections's "Manage Plug-in" page?

If it's not listed there, it may not have been uploaded to the proper directory.

It is listed and enabled on the administration sections's "Manage Plug-in" page. I just don't see the one click entry option anywhere in the administration section. Not on the main menu, or in the pull-down list.

Make sure the command_list.txt file is in that plug-in's directory.

It's in there. Does it matter that the files are in a directory under plugins (directory called OneClick.2003-06) instead of actually in the plugins directory? I'm guessing it doesn't since all the other plugins are in their own directory.

Any other ideas?

Thanks--Jon

Each plug-in's files should be in their own directory, not in the plugins directory itself.

I'm afraid not.

What happens when you call the OneClick plug-in's template directly in a browser like:

... calendar_admin.pl?template=schedule_oneclick_non_recurring.html

Okay, this worked. I am able to see the OneClick menu and I am able to add events too. So why would it work but not show up in the menu? Is there a way to manually put into the pulldown menu? And the main menu?

Thanks!

I don't know. Maybe the file got corrupted in the upload process and the script then couldn't include it?

BTW. The OneClick menu option should appear at the end of the "Event" menu items, not at the top of those links like the original Add Event link.

** Is there a way to manually put into the pulldown menu? **

Add the necessary data to the main command_list.txt file located in the calendarscript directory.

Yes, this is what I meant.

This is where I was looking for it to be. Hmmm. I guess I will work on manually getting it to show up.

Thanks for your help.

Got it! I modified the main command_list.txt file located in the calendarscript directory and it worked. I now see the menu options on both the admin main menu and the pull-down list.

Thanks again DanO, you rock!
