I did setup the Calendar as per decumentations. changed the permissions on calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl but I am getting as shown bellow:
*************************************************************
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/calendar.pl on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
**************************************************************
I did check my erro-log and this is what I found:

I changed permission on calendar.pl to 744
calendar_admin.pl was changed to 744 and calendarscript directory to 777. Sorry I didn't mention that in my first post.

Thanks

** I changed permission on calendar.pl to 744 **

I don't recall that being mentioned in the docs. Script files usually need to be chmod to 755 (read and execute - the important one) or 775 on some servers. Check your host's CGI FAQs for what is required on their server.

** calendarscript directory to 777 **

Many servers don't allow files or directories to be chmod to 777 for security reasons.  Check your host's CGI FAQs for what is required on their server.

Generally speaking, data files and their directories shouldn't usually need permissions above 666 (766 if you're superstitious or your server's set up requires it, check your host's CGI FAQs).

JFYI

Dan O.

You must be using a linux witht eh Selinux feature enabled. Turn off the selinux from /etc/selinux/config

That outto solve your problem
