OK after 2 techs tried installing this for us we have come to a standstill. We keep getting the following error with all 3 .pl scripts

failed to open log file
fopen: Permission denied
[Tue Feb 10 19:44:21 2004] [error] [client 65.95.208.241] Premature end of
script headers: /home/xxxxxx/public_html/cgi-bin/debug.cgi

Unix server
Red Hat 8
IE browser

Anyone have any ideas ??

A "Permission denied" error is usually caused by incorrect file or directory permissions but I don't know where the reference to "fopen" is coming from as I don't see where that is used in any of the scripts or include files.
