These are my pet peeves, although not a complete list of improvements I would like to see. .

How can I fix the code RIGHT NOW so when I add this to make the colors in the title I have room for it all?

<. font color="blue"><. b>NH Homeland Security Association<. /b><. /font>

If I use the color code, it won't all fit.  But I like to bold it and differentiate the events.
This can be done on csCalendar which I've also used.

Also the compose window should stretch. . . . so frustrating that it's so small.
Like trying to type through a telescope. . .

There's more, but I'm the busiest geek. . .

If you want to make any of the event details' form fields larger, edit their size in the Administration section's 'Customize Event Fields' option.   It's not that difficult.
