I have a calendar running for my church and it works very well.  I went to this calendar to get away from publishing a PDF calendar on our web page every month.  However, now it would be nice for our secretary if she could print the online calendar so she does not have to do a seperate one for those folks who do not have internet access.  This way she can print off our main calendar and mail it each month.

Anyone got an idea?

** it would be nice for our secretary if she could print the online calendar **

The calendar should be able to be printed in the same as any other web page is but there is a "Printable Calendar" template available from the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site which does not have the menus and stuff on it as they are not needed when printed. You can just link to it from the default.html template file.

I finally got the page to trint and everything seems to work okay, except I get the following error message,

[Include file (/home/websites/rlcms.org/html/calendarscript/templates/calendars/default/styles.pl) could not be found] [Include file (/home/websites/rlcms.org/html/calendarscript/templates/calendars/default/styles_scripts.html) could not be found]

Can you tell me what this is?  The script is at  http://www.rlcms.org/cgi-bin/calendar.pl   if you need to see it.

I guess you figured out how to correct that for use in CalendarScript 3.2 as stated in your other forum message "Printable Calendar template".

I don't want to sound like an idiot, but I am not sure what you mean by my other forum, but I went to the link you listed.  I used those notes to change the styles.pl reference to preferences.pl and the styles_script.html to styles.css in the default file of the template/default folder.

However, this did not make any changes to the printed calendar.  Could I be changing the wrong default file?

I am sorry to keep bothering you, but do you have any further ideas?

The link to the printable calendar on your site is:

quote:
http://www.rlcms.org/cgi-bin/calendar.pl?template=print.html

Your error message is:

quote:
[Include file (/home/websites/rlcms.org/html/calendarscript/templates/calendars/default/styles.pl) could not be found] [Include file (/home/websites/rlcms.org/html/calendarscript/templates/calendars/default/styles_scripts.html) could not be found]

Are you sure that it is not simply a path problem? It seems that your calendar script files are in the ci-bin and these includes are pointing to a directory outside of the cgi-bin. Are the styles.pl file and the styles_scripts.html files in the sdame directory as the print.html template?

I don't know if this is your problem, but if I enter the URL:

quote:
http://www.rlcms.org/calendarscript/templates/calendars/default/styles_scripts.html
in my browser I get an object not found error.

** but I am not sure what you mean by my other forum [message] **

Sorry, I didn't look at the posting names of each message. They were both posted the same day so I assumed it was a duplicate message.

** I used those notes to change the styles.pl and the styles_script.html in the default file of the template/default folder. **

I assme you mean the default.html file.

You'll have to change those lines in the print.html template file as that is the one which is generating the error messages for you. That other message was discussing an alternative to the default.html file and that is why the changes were necessary in the default.html file there.

Sorry for my confusion.

Dan O.
