Hi,

I have read the FAQs and tried overwriting users. txt maintaining the tabs.  I have also searched for other help and found no other posts.  The file is set to 777.

Here is the error message that I received.  "Cannot open file for writing".

Is there something else I can try?

Not all server setups allow files and directories to be chmod to 777 as it can be a security concern. Permissions of 666 should be the most that is needed for most of the CalendarScript data files.

By "login screen" you mean the screen it asks you to enter the new password TWICE?

No, the the initial login screen.  I believe it has something to do with the permissions, maybe.  I attempted to use FTP Voyager to set file permissions using chmod to 777, but it wouldn't take.  I chatted with the web host and they told me I cannot change permissions on the file.  I will be changing web hosts, but until then I may be screwed.  Any other suggestions?

Than ask them to do it for you.

As stated above in my previous reply, permissions of 777 may not be allowed. 666 is the most that should be necessary.
