Is there any way to add a recurring event but exclude certain days? We have programs that occur every day except certain holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). Would it just be best to do several date range entries for each event to eliminate the holidays?

Not as the calendar ships but there is a 'Split Recurring Event' plug-in available which would allow those unwanted dates to be deleted. You can read about it in the previous forum message linked below and get it from the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site.
